Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy
This Policy applies to all permanent makeup appointments and services booked with the studio. By booking an appointment, paying a booking deposit or service fee, and accepting this Policy, the client acknowledges and agrees to the terms below.
Booking deposit
A booking deposit may be required to reserve an appointment. The deposit reserves the selected appointment time and is applied toward the total price of the scheduled service unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
An appointment is not considered confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must give at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time.
With at least 48 hours’ notice, the booking deposit may be transferred one time to a new appointment, subject to availability. A transferred deposit must be used for that rescheduled appointment and cannot be moved again to a further date.
If you ask to reschedule a second time, a new booking deposit may be required to reserve another appointment. If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, the booking deposit may be forfeited and a new deposit may be required to book again. Any new appointment is subject to availability.
No-show appointments
A client who does not attend a scheduled appointment without giving the notice required in Section 2 forfeits the booking deposit, and a new deposit is required before another appointment can be reserved.
Missing an appointment does not entitle the client to transfer the original deposit to another date.
Completed permanent makeup services
Permanent makeup is a personalized professional service performed specifically for the individual client. Once a scheduled permanent makeup procedure has been performed, the payment for the completed service is generally non-refundable.
A request for a refund based solely on a change of mind, personal preference, the normal healing process, temporary changes in color during healing, or dissatisfaction assessed before the healing period is complete does not constitute a basis for a refund of a properly performed and completed service.
This provision does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable federal, New York State, or local law.
Healing and the final result
Permanent makeup cannot be accurately evaluated immediately after the procedure. Color, intensity, and visual uniformity change during the healing process, and the treated skin must be allowed to fully recover before the final result can be objectively evaluated.
Temporary lightening, uneven visual appearance, peeling, or changes in color during the healing period do not by themselves establish that the procedure was unsuccessful or improperly performed. The final result should be evaluated only after the applicable healing period has been completed.
Touch-up and correction
A touch-up is not automatically required for every client. After the skin has fully healed, the artist will evaluate the retained pigment, color, density, shape, and overall result. If additional work is appropriate, a touch-up may be performed according to the studio’s applicable correction policy and pricing.
Touch-up procedures are not performed earlier than 30 days after the initial procedure, and the appropriate interval may extend to approximately two and a half months depending on the client’s age, skin type, and healing response. The interval is agreed individually with the artist before the initial procedure unless medically or professionally indicated otherwise.
A client should not request corrective pigment placement solely because the color appears temporarily lighter during the normal healing process.
Individual healing results
Permanent makeup results vary between individuals. Pigment retention and final appearance may be affected by factors including skin type, skin condition, metabolism, previous permanent makeup, aftercare, sun exposure, cosmetic treatments, medications, lifestyle, and individual healing response.
For this reason, an exact healed color, pigment retention percentage, or duration of results cannot be guaranteed.
Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
- providing accurate and complete health and treatment information requested before the procedure
- disclosing previous permanent makeup or tattooing in the treatment area
- following the provided pre-care and aftercare instructions
- avoiding actions that may interfere with healing
- allowing the prescribed healing period to pass before assessing the final result
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect pigment retention and the final appearance.
Refund requests after a completed procedure
If a client believes that there is an issue with a completed service, the client should contact the studio and provide sufficient information and photographs, where appropriate, so that the matter can be reviewed.
Because permanent makeup requires a healing period, requests concerning color, density, retention, or visual uniformity generally cannot be finally evaluated until the skin has fully healed.
Completion of the procedure does not guarantee entitlement to a refund merely because the client later changes their preference or requests a different aesthetic result. Nothing in this Policy excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Services cancelled by the studio
If the studio is unable to provide a scheduled service and an appropriate alternative appointment cannot be arranged, any amount paid specifically for the unperformed service will be refunded or transferred to another appointment at the client’s election, where applicable.
Chargebacks and payment disputes
Clients are encouraged to contact the studio directly regarding any billing or service concern so that the matter can be reviewed. The filing of a payment dispute or chargeback does not alter the underlying terms of the service transaction.
The studio may provide the payment processor or financial institution with relevant records concerning the booking, the client’s acceptance of this Policy, attendance, consent documentation, services performed, communications, photographs where lawfully appropriate, and other documentation relevant to the disputed transaction.
Nothing in this section restricts a client’s lawful right to dispute a transaction with their financial institution.
What you confirm when you book
When you book an appointment and accept this Policy, you confirm the following.
- You have read and agree to the Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy, including the terms covering booking deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, completed services, and refunds.
- You understand that cancellations and rescheduling require at least 48 hours’ notice, that your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment one time, and that a late cancellation, a missed appointment, or a further reschedule may mean losing the deposit and paying a new one.
- You understand that once the permanent makeup procedure has been fully performed, payment for the completed service is not refundable, including where you later change your mind or your aesthetic preference — subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
- You have read the contraindications and eligibility requirements for permanent makeup, and you understand that you must disclose any medical condition, medication, allergy, pregnancy, previous permanent makeup, or other information that may affect your eligibility or your healing.
- You understand that results and healing vary from person to person, that no specific healed colour, pigment-retention percentage, density, duration, or exact final appearance has been promised or guaranteed, and that colour, retention, density, and uniformity cannot be reliably assessed until the healing period is complete.
These points are also included in the consent form you sign in the studio before the procedure. Reading them here does not replace signing that form.
Acknowledgment
By completing a booking and accepting this Policy, the client confirms that they have had an opportunity to review the cancellation, refund, healing, and correction terms before purchasing the service.
This Policy forms part of the Terms of Service and should be read with the Privacy Policy. It is intended to supplement, and not replace, the informed-consent documentation required for the permanent makeup procedure.
